As she delves further into this hidden universe, she encounters many other "inscape travelers" - some benevolent, and some who have been corrupted by their power. When Vic encounters Charlie Manx, an immortal who stays that way by feeding off of the souls of children, she makes a sworn enemy of Manx.

43mVic seeks the Wraith and learns she must trust her gift. A body surfaces in Haverhill.

43mVic is questioned by the police and cannot fill the holes in her story. Manx lays out his plan for Vic, but things go awry.

43mVic meets another strong creative who gives her some advice. Manx receives an unexpected visitor.
